welcome!
Thank you for viewing my portfolio!
I am a firm believer that our past experiences make us who we are today! I have been asked many times if I had the chance to go back and change anything, what would I change? I have thought about this question over the years and my answer is still the same--NOTHING! If I changed any one thing, then it would produce a different outcome and I would not be who I am today. I would not have the same character, thoughts, emotions, belief system, and hopefully wisdom, that I do right now. I would be someone totally different and I've gotten to know this "Beth" pretty well now!

Over the years, the sum total of who I am was greatly influenced by my family, my environment, the media, etc. As a tribute, I have included the images below of those who made me me. Maybe some of these influenced you as well...Maybe some of these images will give you insight to who I am, what I stand for and what I believe. I hope you have fun viewing these as much as I did "picking my own brain" and finding the images to match what I found!
Designed by renown architect Cass Gilbert, The Capitol Building stands as a beautiful icon to the area. I have always been in awe of its form and structure and gold plated dome! This began my appreciation of different styles of architecture. My family used to feed the squirrels during Dad's lunch on the surrounding pristine grounds around the building.
I grew up in and around some the country's prettiest landscapes ever! Nothing replaces my memories of the wonderful spring and fall colors, the smell of fresh rain and the loamy forest floor. West Virginia land is a part of me as much as I am still a part of it. I think people from this region of the country are truly tied to the land--no matter where we go, we still call the mountains "home."
All of the concepts I learned from my childhood really make me consider all my actions in life today--from green cleaning, to recycling and even being a Landscape Architect designing landscapes. What we do today really does affect our world and future generations. What we leave, physically and spiritually, will be passed on to our children. I want to be a part of the solution, not the problem!
