​Experienced Landscape Designer/Architect with 3 years of experience in the industry working in the Design-Build industry and Landscape Architecture firms.  I started out as a Landscape Designer and progressed to a Project Manager, seeing projects from client contact, construction documents to completed project punch lists.  My background experience in teaching all sciences enhance my Landscape Architecture skills of best planting practices, sustainability, ecology/ecosystems, plant knowledge, plant biology, speaking/communication and ability to quickly establish rapports with people of differing and various backgrounds.

​Selected by the Friends of Weeki-Wachee to create new butterfly garden attraction for Weeki-Wachee State Park.  Completed photo documentation of site, detailed site analysis,  detailed presentation of site analysis and conceptual drawings of the area.  Project is currently in progress.

​Instructed 8th Grade students in Honors Science and mainstream Science(Physics/Chemistry) using hands-on labs, activities and cooperative learning principles. This experience has enabled me to "think on my feet" in a fast pace and ever-changing environment, to explain complicated processes in simple terms, multi-task, work independently, speak and engage a wide range of individuals with different backgrounds (including speakers of other languages) and plan ahead to meet numerous goals.  I modelled and encouraged creative problem solving with my students.

​Created various residential landscape, hardscape and pool plans meeting the owners' wants and needs. Hand color rendering of individual residential plans for presentation to the various owners. Designed landscape and hardscape plans for new home construction while working with a builder-prescribed plant palette, building materials as well as a limited plant budget. Used plant calculations to developed plant ordering lists/costs, material lists/costs and overall cost analysis reports for company. Submitted plans to builder for approval. All plans were done using hand drafting and drawing techniques while meeting with the high demand of construction (5-6 new home designs/week) and satisfying all building codes, zoning restrictions and community guidelines.

September 2004  -  May 2005

​Hired as a private project consultant for BlueprintPlus Project for The City of Fort Wayne, Indiana.  This project was to help The City develop vision guidelines for public policies and development/investment guidelines, to design public places/ buildings that frame the area and to identify specific sites that could serve as catalyst projects.    Participated in the three-part intensive charette process.  Completed and assisted team in extensive documentation and research, detailed site analysis, public/community workshops and planning sessions, open-house reviews and interviews with stake holders.  Completed color renderings as well as completed hand-drawings of proposed catalytic ideas for encouraging city in-fill and The City's growth initiative.  "Many of the ideas developed during this are currently being implemented by The City of Fort Wayne."  (Site link:  http://www.acp-planning.com/portfolio/downtown-vision-city-of-fort-wayne-indiana/)
